1 MONTH

On Tuesday, February 22 we took Chloe in for her one month check-up. It's hard to believe how fast she is growing. Here are her stats:
  • Weight: 9 pounds 5 ounces, 53rd percentile
  • Length: 22 1/4 inches, 80th percentile (She's probably gonna be tall like her daddy.)

A few of Chloe's favorite things include: her swaddle blankets, binky, swing, getting her hair brushed after a bath, watching and listening to her mobile, and being bounced after eating.

Updates: Chloe is a great eater, hence the 2 pounds she's gained since birth. She eats about 3 1/2 to 4 ounces every 3 hours- give or take. Feeding has not been the easiest thing for either of us, so I have been pumping breast milk for her and then feeding her through a bottle. It's kind of a long process, but it's working for us. The best part about it is that both Riley and I can feed her, which is great on Saturday mornings when Riley lets me sleep in! Chloe has got the sleeping thing down pretty well at night. She will take a bath that she screams through, eat, and then go down for about 4-4 1/2 hours. During the day, she's a little less predictable. She eats every 3 hours, but her sleep is very sporadic. It makes it hard to plan ahead or get much done, but she's the boss. Each day she is getting better and better. As much as Chloe loves eating, it's not the easiest thing for her. We think that she has acid reflux because she cries a lot during and after she eats. We got her on some medicated drops which seem to be working wonders. She still screams a lot, but she can be soothed easier, which is a huge relief for all of us.

Our little sweet pea.
The doctor said her lungs sound great. As if we didn't already know!

We love our little muffin so much! She has definitely changed our lives for the better.
We love our baby so much, we could just eat her up!

She looks great! You guys are doing a wonderful job already. Hopefully we can see you guys soon when Claire and I are over our colds. We miss you!

Both of my boys had reflux, which made the first 4-ish months of their lives the pits -- for them and for me. Getting Garrett to eat was a painful chore, and both boys spent those first few months screaming. All the time. If it weren't for those precious moments we did have, few though they might have been, I think I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. It helped when the doctor finally gave them an antacid, but time was the best medicine. Hang in there -- it will get better!

How did I miss this post? Adorable as ever and I'm so glad she is gaining weight and growing. Sorry about the acid reflux. I don't know a baby lately that doesn't have it to some degree. Chloe's going to be a tall one, but beautiful like her mommy.
