Life with Lucy

It seems like life has been going lightning fast since Lucy arrived. She's already 10 weeks old and growing like a weed. It's hard to remember what life was like without her here.
It was Easter just a few days after Lucy was born. We enjoyed a fun little egg hunt in the back yard and a yummy dinner made by Nani.
We were so blessed to have my mom with us for several weeks before and after Lucy was born. Her and Chloe became two peas in a pod. I've honestly never seen a little girl get so spoiled.
After Nani returned to Utah, Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Dave came for a visit.
 We're crazy about Grandparents!
While Grandpa Dave and Grandma Nancy were here, Lucy was given a name and a blessing in our church by Riley. She looked so sweet in the same little white dress that Chloe wore. Poor little lady wasn't too pleased with all the attention, and screamed the entire time.
Around 6 weeks, Lucy started smiling and hasn't stopped since. If we look at her and talk or sing to her, then she grins from ear to ear. She especially loves watching and smiling at Chloe. Who can blame her, Chloe is pretty entertaining!
Chloe has taken to Lucy so well. She loves to give her hugs and kisses and talk about the future. Chloe's most common phrase right now is: "When Lucy gets a little bigger like me, then she can ...."
For several weeks, Chloe was scared of holding Lucy because of her belly button. When Chloe first visited us in the hospital, Lucy was in the little white hospital shirt and a diaper and of course she had her little umbilical cord stump. Chloe took one look at that thing and was freaked out. Every time we'd ask her if she wanted to hold Lucy, she'd say, "But Lucy's belly button is scary." Even after her stump fell off, it took a while to convince Chloe that Lucy's belly button was cute and normal just like hers.
Chloe loves doing "Big Sister" jobs. She's taken it upon herself to help me bathe Lucy, get her diapers from upstairs, pick out her outfits, and throw out her diapers. If Chloe catches me doing any of these things without her, she gets upset and says, "No Mommy, that's my big sister job. You're not the big sister."

At her 2 month check up, Lucy weighed in at 12 lbs 4.5 oz and 24 inches long. She's been an amazing sleeper from the time she was born. At night she'll usually sleep from about 9 PM until 4 AM and then eat and go back to sleep until about 7 AM. She loves to eat! I've just been having her drink expressed breast milk in a bottle and she gobbles it down. Right now she's taking between 4-5 ounces every 3 hours.
We are so in love with our little LU LU.
